It rained so hard at Sepang that they had to red flag the race after only 9 laps and wait for the track to dry out before a restart. However the very wet, stop-start Malaysian Grand Prix brought with it many surprises including good ones for both Ferrari and Sauber.

The Mercedes F1 WO 3 for 2012 is a big step ahead from the previous year’s car and although its race performance has been inconsistent it has at last given the two top drivers a car that they can work and compete with at the top level.

March 16, 2012 saw the start of the first General Tyre 4X4 African Adventure departing from the Continental Tyre SA head office in Port Elizabeth for Zambia. The event, sponsored by Continental Tyre SA and hosted by Adventure Junkies, is undertaken not only to launch the new General Tyre Grabber AT [All Terrain manufactured by Continental]   into the South African market,  but will also serve as an outreach program to an orphanage in Mongu, Zambia, called The Village of Hope.
